NV Poggio Costa Prosseco Brut (Veneto, IT)

As seen in Yahoo Food + Wine!

Poggio Costa, which means “the hill by the sea,” creates prosecco that encapsulates the fresh sea air and salt of the Italian coast. The elegant perfume starts with delicate notes of white flowers, golden apples, and honey. The palate is light and fresh with lively fruit, strong minerality, and a clean, refreshing finish.

    About The Varietal

    Glera

The grape responsible for Prosecco, Glera, encompasses several similar varieties cultivated in the primary Prosecco-producing region near northern Treviso. Despite the widespread success of Prosecco, Glera is predominantly grown in Italy. Known for its bright acidity and light taste, Glera is well-suited for the production of sparkling wines. Its aromatic characteristics often include notes of white peaches, occasionally accompanied by a white floral nuance.
