2023 Kumusha Pinotage (Western Cape, SA) 4R

Taking great care to gently extract the delicious purple fruit characteristics of the grapes, this minimal intervention wine explodes with flavors of berry, plum, coffee, and baking spice. It’s a uniquely South African wine that pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, such as BBQ pork and roasted chicken.

    About The Varietal

    Pinotage

Pinotage stands as South Africa's signature grape variety, cultivated almost exclusively in the region. Its versatile character allows for the production of a spectrum of wines, ranging from basic table wines to opulent, concentrated offerings boasting flavors of black and red fruits, spice, leather, and chocolate.

    About The Producer

    Kumusha

Originally from Zimbabwe, Kumusha founder Tinashe Nyumudoka moved to South Africa where he began his journey in the wine industry. From waiter to head sommelier of Africa's highest acclaimed restaurant, The Test Kitchen, Nyumudoka decided to try his own hand at winemaking in 2017 when he first launched Kumusha with help of friend Attie Louw, a windemaker from the Opstal family estate in Slanghoek valley.
