2022 Theopolis Vineyards "Cortada Alta Vineyard" Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands, CA) 3R

The bouquet of this exquisite Pinot Noir is vibrant with aromas of currants, tobacco, vanilla, and toasted spice. On the palate, flavors of wild-berry jam, seared mushrooms, and delicate hints of pepper are complemented by firm tannins and a touch of herbaceousness. The wine’s full body is balanced by bright acidity, leading to a smooth, velvety finish.

    About The Producer

    Theopolis Vineyards

Ms. Theodora Lee, a senior partner and trial lawyer at Littler, founded Theopolis Vineyards in 2003. Known in the wine industry as Theo-patra, Queen of the Vineyards, her passion for wine began after moving to San Francisco from Texas in 1987, influenced by mentors at her law firm who owned vineyards. She took viticulture classes at UC Davis before purchasing land in the Yorkville Highlands of Anderson Valley in 2001. Developing the vineyard involved clearing land, soil testing, obtaining permits, drilling a well, and terracing the property. In 2003, she planted her 5-acre vineyard. Ms. Lee’s Greek name comes from her Delta Sigma Theta Sorority membership.
