2022 Theopolis Vineyards Theo-patra's Cuvee Cerise (Anderson Valley, CA) 7R

This intricate cuvée captivates from the first sip to the last. On the nose, fragrant blueberry aromas intertwine with a bouquet of wildflowers, sage, and aromatic spices. The palate is vibrant and juicy, revealing rich layers of preserved cherry, subtle earthiness, and gentle peppery spice, all leading to a long, invigorating finish.

    About The Varietal

    Petite Sirah

Petite Sirah is admired for its intensely hued wines featuring robust black fruit notes and strong tannins. This grape is linked to Syrah and the uncommon French grape, Peloursin. While referred to as "Durif" in France, this wine is seldom found outside of California.

    About The Producer

    Theopolis Vineyards

Ms. Theodora Lee, a senior partner and trial lawyer at Littler, founded Theopolis Vineyards in 2003. Known in the wine industry as Theo-patra, Queen of the Vineyards, her passion for wine began after moving to San Francisco from Texas in 1987, influenced by mentors at her law firm who owned vineyards. She took viticulture classes at UC Davis before purchasing land in the Yorkville Highlands of Anderson Valley in 2001. Developing the vineyard involved clearing land, soil testing, obtaining permits, drilling a well, and terracing the property. In 2003, she planted her 5-acre vineyard. Ms. Lee’s Greek name comes from her Delta Sigma Theta Sorority membership.
