2022 Leirana Albarino (Rias Baixas, SP) 4W

This low intervention Albariño made with naturally occurring yeasts really lets the terroir shine through. Extended lees aging adds a depth and complexity of flavors to this unmistakably maritime wine. Notes of Meyer lemon, white flowers, orange blossom, and sea salt with little bit of weight on the palate at the front offset by zippy acid at the finish.

    About The Varietal

    Albarino

This green-skinned grape variety originates from Galicia, situated on the northern Atlantic coast of Spain. It is most famous for being the primary grape variety in the Rias Baixas DO, where it is used to craft fresh, and often, texturally rich white wines featuring notes of peach, citrus, and minerals, making them an ideal accompaniment to the region's seafood.
