2022 Broc Cellars "Love" Rose (Berkeley, CA) 3P

Aromas present freshly picked strawberries and savory herbs. On the palate, there are flavors reminiscent of watermelon agua fresca, dried thyme, a burst of strawberry, and a hint of sea salt.

    About The Varietal

    Valdiguie

Valdiguié is a red grape variety that was once widely planted in southwest France, especially in Languedoc-Roussillon. However, it is now only grown as a minor variety in a few Vin de Pays departments around the Languedoc and Provence. In the United States, particularly in California, there is a small following for Valdiguié. In California, it was previously known as Napa Gamay.

    About The Producer

    Broc Cellars

Based in Berkeley, Broc Cellars is a natural winery dedicated to crafting approachable and refreshing wines for everyday enjoyment. Established in 2002 by owner and winemaker Chris Brockway, we prioritize native fermentations and organically grown grapes. Our wines are crafted to be uplifting, never overwhelming. Chris Brockway's winemaking journey began with California Zinfandel, leading him to California from Omaha, Nebraska. However, he found that California wines had shifted towards a "bigger is better" mentality, which didn't align with his personal preferences. Disillusioned by the trend of high alcohol and overpowering flavors, Chris believed in a different approach to California wine. From humble beginnings with a single barrel in 2002 to now producing over 20 different wine releases annually, Broc Cellars creates fresh and vibrant California wines for enjoyment at any occasion.
