2022 Bravium Outlier Pinot Noir (Lake County, CA) 3R

From the owner and winemaker of Bravium Wines, Derek Rohlffs, Outlier is his project to highlight undiscovered, primarily organic sites within California. The cool weather of the site featured promotes the use of neutral oak, so the fresh organic fruit is highlighted and allowed to shine through.

    About The Producer

    Bravium

Derek Rohlffs, of Cherokee descent, has always felt a deep connection to nature, particularly the mountains, and finds peace outdoors. After earning a degree in Environmental Studies at UC Santa Barbara, he initially worked in the gaming industry but developed a growing passion for wine. A pivotal 1999 encounter at Mayacamas Vineyards revealed the link between land and wine, sparking his calling. Derek quietly pursued winemaking at UC Davis and, with guidance from Jeff Brinkman, crafted wines in a traditional style at Bravium. His Cherokee heritage, symbolized by the name "Winter Hawk," continues to guide his journey in the vineyard and cellar.
