2021 Kumusha "Hurudza" Cabernet Sauvignon (Western Cape, SA) 7R

The name of this wine "Hurudza" means one who has mastered farming, representing the excellent harvest that brought this wine to fruition. A well structured Cabernet Sauvignon heavy red blend, the wine has distinct notes of blackcurrant and plum, followed by herbaceous notes and bell pepper. Fine grained tannins are underpinned with vibrant acidity and a smooth finish. Fantastic now, the wine will reach new heights with a few years of cellaring.

    About The Varietal

    Cabernet Sauvignon

Frequently linked with Bordeaux wine blends and Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon is a grape variety that has achieved global popularity. This is largely attributed to its coveted blend of black fruit scents, firm tannins, and vibrant acidity.

    About The Producer

    Kumusha

Originally from Zimbabwe, Kumusha founder Tinashe Nyumudoka moved to South Africa where he began his journey in the wine industry. From waiter to head sommelier of Africa's highest acclaimed restaurant, The Test Kitchen, Nyumudoka decided to try his own hand at winemaking in 2017 when he first launched Kumusha with help of friend Attie Louw, a windemaker from the Opstal family estate in Slanghoek valley.
