    About The Varietal

    Pinot Grigio

Pinot Gris, also known as Pinot Grigio, is a pinkish grape mutation originating from Pinot Noir. Renowned for its zesty white wines, it also lends itself to crafting fuller-bodied whites and rosé. Northern Italy, Alsace, Oregon, and Germany stand out as regions offering benchmark examples of this versatile grape.

    About The Producer

Situated in the Goriska Brda wine region of Slovenia, Domaine Marjan Simcic is a modest winery with roots dating back to 1860 when Josef Simcic initiated winemaking. Currently, in its fifth generation, Marjan Simcic, alongside his 82-year-old father actively participates in daily winery affairs continuing their family tradition. The rich history of this exceptional wine region is preserved, and Marjan is committed to upholding this legacy.
