2021 Clos Saint Jean "Vieilles Vignes" Chateauneuf-du-Pape (Rhone Valley, FR) 6R

Ripe black fruit, especially cherry and blackberry dominate the nose, with earthy aromas of garrigue, olive, and herbs de Provence. A subtle hint of lavender and violet florality rounds out this elegant yet brooding wine. The palate is concentrated, but has a refreshing acidity to bring harmony.

    About The Varietal

    GSM Blend

The traditional and robust blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre is typically linked to the southern Rhone, notably in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. However, exceptional wines with this blend are also crafted in the New World, with Australia and California standing out as regions that produce highly praised examples.
