Old World subtlety is replaced with a juicy New World palate. Real fullness begins here.

2019 Eisele Vineyard Estate Syrah (Napa Valley, CA) 8R

Bold and refined, this wine opens with intense aromas of blue fruits, Bigarreau cherries, and violets, complemented by hints of rosemary and pencil shavings. The palate is silky smooth, offering remarkable precision and finesse. Well-ripened, tightly woven tannins provide structure to the youthful fruit's energy, layered with flavors of wild blueberry coulis. The exceptionally long finish is marked by mineral tones of graphite and volcanic soil, intertwined with nuances of Madagascar vanilla, cinnamon, and dried roses.

    About The Varietal

    Syrah

Shiraz and Syrah are interchangeable names for the same dark-skinned grape variety when viewed in terms of DNA. Originating in the Rhône Valley, this grape dominates plantings in the northern section of the valley. The name Shiraz is commonly used in Australia and certain regions of the New World, particularly those with warmer climates. The stylistic differences between Shiraz and Syrah wines are often distinct, contributing to the enduring dual identities of this grape variety.
