Les Caillerets is one of Volnay's pre-eminent vineyards due to its outstanding terroir. Hailing from one of the oldest producers in Beaune, this wine has a lively expression of ripe red and black cherries and blackberries on the nose balanced with notes of bergamot and other aromatic herbs, clove, and tobacco. It has excellent structure on the palate with silky tannins integrated throughout and minerality on the finish. This is an excellent vintage that can be enjoyed now but will only get better with another year or two in the cellar.
