About The Varietal
Renowned for its sharp acidity and deep, impenetrable color, Vinhao holds the title of the most cultivated grape in the Vinho Verde/Minho region. In contrast to many red grape varieties, where the skin contributes most of the color, Vinhao possesses red flesh, resulting in immediate red juice, which intensifies after maceration with the blue-black skins.
About The Producer
Quinta do Ferro is a family project run by Micaela Ferro. It is located on the right bank of the Douro River in the Vinho Verde region, where Micaela stands as the top reference for sparkling wines. She has been working tirelessly since 1999 in the mountainous region, producing sparkling wine, to perfect her craft and earn this title.
