In 2019, Blue Run Spirits was founded by a collective of bourbon enthusiasts and friends, comprising a diverse group including a Nike designer, Facebook’s initial director-level employee, a hospitality executive, a political advisor, and a philanthropist. They aimed to revolutionize the bourbon sector by crafting premium offerings tailored to contemporary whiskey aficionados. Led by Whiskey Director, Industry Powerhouse Shaylyn Gammon, and collaborating with Jim Rutledge, a seasoned whiskey veteran with over 50 years of experience and formerly the master distiller at Four Roses, who assumes the role of the brand’s "liquid director," they embarked on this journey.
