*7R* 2018 Domaine Lafage "Tessellae Vielles Vignes" Carignan (Languedoc-Roussillon, FR)

    7R

Creamier wines with balanced fruit, alcohol, acidity, and body. The "yummy" section.

*7R* 2018 Domaine Lafage "Tessellae Vielles Vignes" Carignan (Languedoc-Roussillon, FR)

This is an off-the-charts value that offers up thrilling notes of black raspberry, chocolate, graphite, tar and licorice to go with a voluptuous, decadent, yet seamless and gorgeously pure feel on the palate.

    About The Varietal

    Carignan

Carignan is a grape variety with dark skin, believed to have originated in Aragon. This grape is prevalent in wines produced along the Mediterranean coast, particularly in northeastern Spain and the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. It is frequently used for blending with other significant regional grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre.
