Warmer growing regions, fully ripened grapes, extended barrel-aging add to the wine’s body

*6W* 2021 Roco Gravel Road Chardonnay (Willamette Valley, OR)

Handpicked grapes were gently pressed before seeing French oak barrel and lees aging. The result is a rich palate exhibiting notes of citrus, green apple and stone fruit complimented by vanilla, oak spice and a creamy finish. The balance between fruit and oak influence is a hallmark of Willamette Valley Chardonnay.

    About The Varietal

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay, possibly the most famous among white grape varieties, is frequently regarded as reaching its peak expression in its Burgundian birthplace. However, this grape has journeyed across the globe, and Chardonnay wines, ranging from outstanding to less inspiring, can now be discovered in various wine-producing regions worldwide.

    About The Producer

    Roco

In the 1980s, Rollin Soles and Corby Stonebraker-Soles played a pivotal role in shaping Oregon's wine industry. As pioneers, they not only established wineries but also contributed to the development of foundational industry organizations. Their efforts were instrumental in positioning Oregon as a top destination for crafting exceptional wines. Over 35 years later, the talent behind ROCO has garnered numerous accolades, including hundreds of 90+ scores from esteemed critics, consistent recognition in Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the World, and the honor of having multiple ROCO bottlings served in the White House.
