*4R* 2021 Casa de Saima "Tonel 10" Baga (Bairrada, PT)

Tonel 10 comes from Casa de Saima's most ancient vineyard, featuring 50-year old Baga vines. The grapes are hand harvested, foot-crushed, and undergo spontaneous fermentation, creating aromas characterized by wild strawberry, cassis, bramble fruit, and earth. On the palate, it exhibits a balanced density highlighting luscious, vibrant red fruits, excellent acidity, and gentle tannins, representing a deliciously light style of the Baga varietal.

    About The Varietal

    Baga

Baga, a grape variety with small berries and high acidity, is occasionally likened to Pinot Noir or Nebbiolo. It has the potential to yield lively rosé wines and robust, tannic red wines.
